GSIS Pension Calculator

Estimate your GSIS retirement pension with our free calculator below. It uses the official Basic Monthly Pension (BMP) formula from the GSIS Act of 1997 (RA 8291), the same formula GSIS itself uses.

GSIS Pension Calculator

Estimate your retirement benefit under the GSIS Act of 1997 (RA 8291), using the official Basic Monthly Pension formula.

Estimate only. Formula: RAMC = AMC + ₱700; BMP = 37.5% of RAMC + 2.5% of RAMC for each year of service beyond 15, capped at 90% of AMC, per RA 8291. Confirm your actual benefit with GSIS. This site is an unofficial guide and is not affiliated with the GSIS.

How the GSIS pension is computed

Your Basic Monthly Pension (BMP) is computed as: 37.5% of your RAMC, plus 2.5% of your RAMC for every year of government service beyond 15 years.

Your BMP cannot exceed 90% of your Average Monthly Compensation (AMC). GSIS sets a minimum pension of ₱1,300 per month, or ₱2,400 per month if you have 20 or more years of service.

RAMC (Re-adjusted Monthly Compensation) equals your AMC plus ₱700. Your AMC is your total compensation during your last 36 months of service, divided by 36.

Who qualifies for a pension

  • At least 15 years of government service, and
  • At least 60 years old at retirement.
  • Compulsory retirement is at age 65 for members with at least 15 years of service.

Your two pension options

Option 1: Receive a lump sum equal to 60 months of your pension at retirement. Your lifetime monthly pension begins after the 5-year guaranteed period.

Option 2: Receive a cash payment equal to 18 months of your pension at retirement, and your lifetime monthly pension starts immediately.

If you have fewer than 15 years of service

Members with 3 to under 15 years of service receive a separation benefit: a cash payment equal to 100% of their AMC for every year of service (minimum ₱12,000), payable at age 60 or upon separation, whichever is later.
